Antony Crossfield

'Foreign body' is a strong series of UK born photographer Antony Crossfield. The artist statement starts with; "Through my art I seek to question and undermine traditional conceptions of corporeality while also exploring the relationship between the body and identity. ..." and it is a good read.
From a series of shots he meticulously constructs his distorted images of mainly naked man. This is more than just a photoshop collage, it is surching for the right location, the right points of view, the right figures and stitching everything seamlessly together. Antony Crossfield can work for months on one image before he is satisfied with the result.

The Flaming Lips

The Flaming Lips - You Lust (NSFW) from Delo Creative on Vimeo.

Founded in 1983, The Flaming Lips sound is quite unusual. Call it space , indie or psychedelic rock you can really describe it. Wild elaborate live shows, where anything is possible. Maybe the hit 'she don't use jelly' rings a bell..... insane videos, and great covers all in their own extravagant manner... they mix everything in their galactic hippy travels!

Cornelia Hediger

Cornelia Hediger, Swiss photographer was awarded a PDN’s 30: Emerging Photographers to Watch in 2009. Some of her work does remind me of Fransesca Woodman. The Doppelgänger project resulted in two series.

The Doppelgänger project resulted in two series of self portraits. Fragmented and reconstructed in a grid. Old fashioned clothes and rooms hiding a more darker, intense meaning at first glance.
"Doppelgänger".It’s a German word, that means double-walker. It’s a ghostly image of a person who is also an omen of bad luck and death. If you see yourself as a doppelgänger, you know it’s bad news!” ; Cornelia Hediger.
She explores, different often contrasting sides of herself. Seemingly in a conversation or conflicting situation with her "Doppelgänger. Cornelia Hediger spends quite some time on creating her Doppelgänger images. The whole process starts with a drawing, while a photo shoot can take up to eight hour, there are still loads of the darkroom and computer work left.

Renée Munn

"Shakespeare's heroines" by Australian fine-art photographer Renée Munn. Munn; "Ophelia is fragile. Ghostly double exposures suggest this haunting disintegration of what at first glance appears to be a stable, straightforward image. Ophelia’s body belies the tension of being both living and dead, revealed in the cracks that fill the print."
Most of her works are large photographic collages of women, fragmented and manipulated into a beautiful multi dimensional story.

As a photographer Munn is interested in the expressive possibilites of the medium. In her work she explores numerous analogue and traditional darkroom techniques such as double and triple exposure, photogram's, cliché verre and combination printing to alter her figures and create a single image that is both real and imagined. Her collages are finished painted with beeswax and oil paint and are exhibited unframed and tangible.

an example of her other work.

Ed Ross

Tintypes by Ed Ross. Wet plate is experiencing a revival (as are other alternative photographic processes) in this digital era, and it gives great results. Ed Ross uses blackened aluminium plates instead of glass ones, as they are cheaper and more durable.
The wet plate process is a low sensitive one, resulting in shallow depth of field images. Most of his work is sensual, erotic and a bit vintage. Next to nudes and portraits Ed Ross also does wet plate landscapes.
