June Yong Lee

Born in South Korea, but now working and living in the United states. Photographer
June Yong Lee develops an interest in the human skin after seeing 'Silence of the lambs'. Resulting in a series of flattened torsos, skin without bones. A bit creepy, but fascinating as you start to understand June Yong Lee's intentions. What can the skin reveal, there is a unique history captured in every skin.
Lee; “Bodies record personal stories that often differ from how we remember them. Memories are, like scars on skin, fragile; skin reflects who we are and tells stories that we might not always recognize.”
Lee circles his model, meanwhile taking shots with his digital camera. Later, using photoshop, he sticks them together, the result is the stretched two dimensional skin of a 3D model.
